‘- Tomorrow will mark the end of Kurt Angle’s in ring career as he wrestles Baron Corbin in his retirement match. Even though will hang up his wrestling boots at WrestleMania 35, he is not leaving WWE. Angle revealed on Sky Sports that he has re-signed with WWE in a competitive role.
“I signed a contract to help the younger talent behind the scenes,” said Angle on Sky Sports. “I will be on the road with the guys that make it up here. I’ll probably be an on-camera talent like a manager or maybe a general manager again. I’m sure they will want to utilize me on camera.”
Angle returned to WWE about two years ago as he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Right after, he was named the general manager of RAW. He would wrestle on a handful matches; most notably teaming with Ronda Rousey to defeat Triple H & Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 34 in a memorable meeting.
Considering how much Angle has slowed down inside the ring, it is for the best that he retires. With such a wealth of knowledge inside the ring, Angle would be a great addition to NXT or the Performance Center as he prepares superstars of today to became stars of the future.
