Kenny Omega had to step away from in-ring action in late 2021 to address multiple nagging injuries. While fans await his AEW return, seems like the timetable for this is uncertain. More below.
Kenny Omega AEW Return Uncertain
According to Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, there was a plan for Omega’s return. The initial date for his AEW comeback was March 2022.

However, that timeline is now “up in the air”. Firstly, he recently tested positive for COVID-19.
Kenny has noted that the after-effects of the virus have caused him some suffering. This could be the reason behind the setback.
Kenny Omega AEW Return – A Lot Has Changed
Another thing to factor in is the fact that so much has changed within the AEW since Kenny Omega stepped away. Regardless of the reason behind the uncertainty, his return date has not been set.
Over to the land of the WWE, both fans, media, and superstars are all gearing up for this Saturday’s 2022 Royal Rumble. It’s the official start date to the Road to WrestleMania, and one of the most popular pay-per-views (PPV) for the company.
There are always some surprise entrants in both the women’s and men’s Royal Rumble. Will Bad Bunny make an appearance?
Bad Bunny – 2022 Royal Rumble
Not only is Bad Bunny a WWE superfan, but he’s also earned the respect of many wrestlers and those in the industry for his work in that squared circle. It didn’t take long for the land of sports entertainment to embrace him.
But will he be back in a WWE ring sooner rather than later? According to a report, Bad Bunny is scheduled for the Royal Rumble this Saturday.
Bad Bunny is a superstar both inside and outside the WWE. His 2022 tour sold out so quickly, Ticketmaster’s website crashed.
His unique appeal caters both to loyal WWE fans and casual viewers. It seems that he loves the work that he does for the company, and is also a “guaranteed” draw.
Bad Bunny’s WrestleMania Moment
If Bad Bunny is at the Royal Rumble, there may be a good chance he’ll set some time aside to be a part of WrestleMania 38. Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, so fans will have to wait and see.
For those that recall, the Bad one had a great moment at WrestleMania 37. The former 24/7 Champion joined Damian Priest to take on John Morrison and The Miz for a tag team match.
The bout had stellar storytelling and provided a ton of action. Bad Bunny was committed to training for the match and it showed.
It’s likely that Bad Bunny won’t be the only surprise at this year’s Royal Rumble. Word is that Ronda Rousey is slated to make a return to the WWE during the Women’s Rumble match.
Who else will show up? It’s hard to say; however, this is what makes this PPV so popular.
There’s nothing like counting down when some unexpected theme music hits. While the WWE has been stale with storylines, here’s hoping the 2022 Royal Rumble can deliver big.
