Karrion Kross made a splashing return to Friday Night SmackDown last week. He attacked Drew McIntyre, and almost immediately afterward sent a warning to WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. On the cusp of his comeback, where does Kross rank within the brand?
Karrion Kross Rank On SmackDown
Karrion Kross was highly successful in NXT. He was a two-time NXT Champ and got plenty of reaction from fans.

His call-up to the main roster lacked luster when he appeared on RAW in August 2021. He was booked terribly, and Scarlett Bordeaux was not by his side.
Both he and his wife were released by the WWE, last November. They spent some time doing indie events.
Most fans were pleasantly surprised by his massive return on the Blue brand last week. What does the WWE have in store for this past under-utilized talent?
Karrion Kross Rank On SmackDown – Major Heel
As per a PW Insider report, both Kross and Bordeaux were officially added to WWE’s internal roster. In fact, Karrion is being slotted as the #2 heel on the SmackDown brand, behind Roman Reigns.
This is a major position to sit in, considering he just returned to the company. It is also quite different from how Vince McMahon originally booked him.
At some point, maybe sooner than fans think, Kross could enter the title race picture. Only time will tell.
Karrion Kross began wrestling in 2015. Before entering the WWE, he worked for Global Force Wrestling, Lucha Underground, Lucha Libre, Impact Wrestling, and had a small run within Major League Wrestling.
He entered NXT in 2020 and took the (then) gold and black brand by storm. A mere year and a bit later, he made his main roster jump, and the rest is history.
Now that McMahon has retired, and HHH has taken the reigns, WWE television and events are looking very different (in a good way). With some NXT superstars hitting the main roster, there is a “shuffle” of sorts in the works.
From the looks of it, this is only the “start” of what Triple H has planned for RAW and SmackDown, as well as NXT 2.0 and NXT UK.
NXT UK Stars Jump To NXT
PW Insider is also reporting that a number of NXT UK stars are gearing up for a “jump” to the U.S. The length of their stay has not been revealed, but they will have a stint on NXT 2.0.
NXT UK superstars heading to NXT 2.0 include Gallus’ Mark Coffey and Joe Coffey, and Wolfgang. In addition, Charlie Dempsey of Die Familie, the son of William Regal, is joining them, too.
What Kind Of Storyline Requires All That Man Power?
That’s quite a handful of NXT UK superstars headed to NXT 2.0. Could an “invasion” storyline be on the horizon?
It’s hard to say. However, it’s clear that HHH is laser-focused on improving WWE television, within all the brands.
Regardless, all of those NXT UK stars are sure to make a major impact. Fans will have to tune in and see exactly what brings them to NXT 2.0.
