The build for Money in the Bank continues tonight on Smackdown Live. There will be two major matches featuring MITB competitors, including one that will be a first time ever in WWE. The ladies, WWE Champ Mahal, The New Day, and the Fashion Police will also be making appearances.
Here’s what we’re looking forward to tonight.
Styles vs Ziggler II
After last week’s barn-burner of a main event, Dolph Ziggler and AJ Styles are facing off once again.
Styles, as in often the rule in WWE, lost in his hometown of Atlanta last week. The two are participants in this year’s Money in the Bank match. Expect a great match!
KO vs Nakamura for the first time EVER (IN WWE)
Another pair of MITB challengers battle tonight. Kevin Owens will battle Shinsuke Nakamura in a non-title match. WWE is hyping this match as a “first time ever.” This is not the case as the two met at a Ring of Honor event a few years back and have wrestled at a WWE live event in Japan. The two put on a clinic at the ROH show and we can expect more of the same.
The Debut of the Ladies Briefcase
After last week’s historic announcement that there will be a women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, the ladies of Smackdown will square off in a six-woman tag. Take a shot everytime someone says “historic” or “First time” and then die of alcohol poisoning.

The New Day returns to in-ring action
Following a move to Smackdown and the injury of Kofi Kingston, the New Day have been off television for a while. That changes tonight when Kofi Kingston returns to the ring, presumably facing off against a Colon. The New Day will be taking on the Usos at MITB for the tag team titles.
