John Morrison Re-Signs With WWE
A familiar face will be returning to WWE as John Morrison re-signed with the company according to PWInsider. As of now, there is no word on when or where Morrison will land once he returns to TV.
The 39 year old has been busy since leaving WWE in 2011. Some of the biggest promotions he called home for a time included Impact Wrestling and Lucha Underground. While competing for Impact Wrestling, he was their world champion before leaving in July of this year. His wife, Taya Valkyrie, still works for Impact Wrestling.
Seeing how there so many opportunities for TV time now in WWE, Morrison could end up being a major player. He is still in phenomenal shape and WWE was high on him when he left eight years ago.
Lana’s Return To Television
Rusev retuned to TV this month after a hiatus, but missing was his wife Lana. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted how Lana will be returning to TV once they a have storyline in place. She has not appeared since April and last competed at WrestleMania 35.
Currently, Rusev is involved in an angle with Mike Kanellis and Maria Kanellis. Maria claims that Mike is not the father of her unborn child and teased that it could be Rusev’s baby. The storyline is bizarre, but it has people tuning in.
Paul Heyman’s Idea For Goldberg
We all figured Goldberg’s wrestling career was over 15 years ago, but he returned to WWE and worked a few months before entering the Hall of Fame. Since then, he has competed twice; losing to the Undertaker at Super ShowDown and squashing Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter mentioned how Paul Heyman wants Goldberg to stick around. The idea is for Goldberg to work a few matches per year and basically destroy his opponents.
When Goldberg finally retires, then Brock Lesnar will take the former WCW Champion’s spot. It almost seems like we have not seen the final battle between Goldberg and Lesnar.
