Brooke Oleskey, FKA Booke Hogan, daughter of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, has spoken out about her broken relationship with her family.
The former reality TV star has been silent about the dysfunction in her family despite years of public speculation and past controversies. But when her mother, Linda Hogan, recently called their family “the worst mess” in a since-deleted post on social media, Olesky decided to respond.
In a very lengthy statement on her Instagram, she confirmed she doesn’t speak to either of her parents and explained that the estrangement was for different reasons. She also made some serious accusations about extreme verbal and mental abuse from the WWE legend and his former wife.
Brooke Hogan’s Statement
“I have been EXTREMELY verbally and mentally abused since childhood. Sadly, it would frequently turn physical,” Hulk Hogan’s daughter claimed.
The 36-year-old then went on to describe how this cycle affected her mental health and self-esteem. “This vicious pattern has robbed me of any sense of self-esteem or confidence I’ve been trained to pretend to have.”
Olesky also revealed she was manipulated and asked to defend her family’s behavior publicly. “I’ve been ASKED to defend poor behavior to the public and have done so out of love. Only to find I was misinformed, manipulated, and lied to.”
After years of hoping things would change, Brooke wrote she finally went no contact when it came to her family. “I’ve set boundaries that were not respected, and at this point, I can truly do no more… I have been to therapy, I am doing the work, I am breaking the chain, it ends with ME.”
