***HUGE NXT SPOILER ALERT BELOW***
– NXT fans were more than excited when the King of Bros., Matt Riddle, appeared at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn this past summer, donning a baseball cap and flip flops; however, many were concerned about him making his way to the company and how the WWE may change up his character for the worse. Not to mention the fact that he could potentially have to wear *gasp* wrestling boots!
For those curious, and who love reading Internet wrestling spoilers, while Matt Riddle debuted at an NXT live event a couple of weekends ago (wearing his wife’s shorts), he officially debuted on the brand during last night’s Full Sail television tapings, and we are happy to report that he was bare footed. He faced Luke Menzies and defeated the NXT superstar, with the crowd fully behind Riddle.

Here’s hoping he has a nice and successful run in both NXT and the WWE as a whole.
– Daniel Bryan finally gets his chance at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship since returning to in-ring action earlier this year, facing AJ Style’s at WWE’s highly-controversial Saudi Arabia event, Crown Jewel. Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer recently chimed in on this match, speculating that with all the heat WWE is getting around Crown Jewel, a good way to deflect this is pulling a title switch during the event, passing on the championship to a highly-popular baby face in Bryan. Let’s face, many fans would love to see Daniel Bryan as WWE Champion, especially since he did not have a solid title run the first time around due to injury. While Styles is a top face as well, he’s had an incredible reign; not many would complain if he dropped the title to Bryan, especially if the match between the two is stellar, which it should be.

At the end of the day, for those fans who may be boycotting the Crown Jewel pay-per-view, a huge title change in this regard may change their minds to check the PPV out, even after the fact.
