This year is a huge one for contract renewals in the WWE as many have deals that are expiring. From Seth Rollins to Drew McIntyre, and “The Man” Beck Lynch, Finn Balor is joining this list. A report notes the star’s current agreement with the company ending soon.
Details on Finn Balor’s WWE Agreement
According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, Finn Balor’s WWE deal is up after this year’s WrestleMania 40. This news was first announced by Raj Giri via X/Twitter.
He notes in his tweet that Balor had yet to be approached by the WWE about a new contract. Still, Sapp’s report states that Balor’s deal is not “right after” WM 40, but rather a few months after the company’s flagship event.
In addition, Finn isn’t the only WWE star who has not been approached by the company to extend their contract. In fact, Fightful reports several stars haven’t been contacted, who also have deals expiring.
Finn Balor’s History In This Business
At the age of 42, Balor has created an incredible legacy in wrestling, so far. He began his career in 2001, working for the New Wrestling Alliance (NWA), and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW).
Balor entered the WWE in 2014 and jumped into NXT. By the time 2016 hit, he was on the main roster.
He’s currently one-half of the WWE Tag Champions, and part of the biggest faction in the company right now, Judgment Day. During Finn’s time with the company, he’s hit amazing milestones.
These include being a two-time NXT Champion, an inaugural WWE Universal Champion, a two-time Intercontinental Champion, a United States Champion, and a four-time Tag Team Champion (including his current reign with Damien Priest). It’ll be interesting to see what the next chapter will hold for Finn Balor if a WWE agreement cannot be reached.
