Neville has not been seen on WWE television since he walked out and allegedly asked for his release. One of the rumored reasons for him walking out is having to lose clean to Enzo Amore. Now, it would seem like Enzo is not having any hard feelings about this, because he is pushing for the British star’s return!
Statements Made by Enzo
Despite the rumored reasons for The Man That Gravity Forgot walking out, Enzo has nothing but kind words for the British superstar.
“Neville is one of my FAVORITE pros in the business. He carried NXT with that title and was a tag-team champion there.
“Then he worked the 205 division with the hardest schedule in silence, he was working Friday, Saturday and Sunday and then Mondays and Tuesdays.”
“I hope Neville comes back and we feud. I have never seen a guy work like he does.”
Neville’s Future in the WWE
Losing clean to Enzo Amore could have been the reason for The innovator of the Red Arrow walking out that night, but there are many other things that could be the cause of the long-haired champ wanting to leave the company. As Enzo stated during his interview, the British cruiserweight worked an incredibly hectic schedule but found himself with little to no reward for his hard work.
Even though Enzo is pushing for the WWE to bring back Neville, the chances of that are not good at the moment. There have been some talks, but they have led to nothing concrete. There are countless rumors that Neville is about to be released, which I hope are wrong.
It would be great to see Neville return at the Royal Rumble or another pay-per-view because the man has carried the 205 Live division. Since he left, many people have no interest whatsoever in the 205 Live brand, so by not meeting Neville’s demands, the WWE is shooting themselves in the foot.
Unfortunately, I believe the WWE is likely to stall his release, so it becomes less of a story. Whatever brand Neville ends up with, it is likely many fans will follow him to watch him on the other brand. By keeping things quiet, they may hope we will forget about the former Cruiserweight Champion. Fortunately, most fans are too smart for that tactic to work.
Do you believe there is still a chance of Neville returning? Should the WWE do more to keep him, or should he be given his release? Let us know in the comment section below.
