Dolph Ziggler Tried Quitting WWE Over SummerSlam Match
Dolph Ziggler has been with WWE for easily over a decade. He shortly worked as a caddy for Chavo Guerrero and then was a member of the Spirit Squad before finding his spot as a singles competitor.
At this year’s SummerSlam, one of the last matches to be confirmed was Ziggler taking on WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg. The match was done as a chance for Goldberg to leave fans with a better impression that Super ShowDown, where he suffered a concussion minutes his match against Undertaker and their main event quickly went downhill.
At first, Ziggler was happy to do the match as he wanted to help the business and Goldberg was one of WCW’s biggest stars.
Ziggler’s Reason For Being Unhappy
“As a kid [I was a fan] but as a grown up I see these guys and I’m like, ‘Okay I’m here to do business and do special things — I try not to be the fan,” said Ziggler to Talk Sport’s Alex McCarthy. “I find out what the business is and I’m like ‘Cool this is the moment.’ And having that like ‘You’re the guy to do this. To set the record straight and give this guy this fantastic match. I’m like, ‘fantastic.’”
Dolph Ziggler on Goldberg struggles:
“They go ‘it’s going to be a bell, spear, pin’…
“You go ‘c’maaan’.

Then, the match was broken down and Ziggler was not happy doing a one minute job. At one point, Ziggler even tried to quit WWE over the matter.

“So I fought all day long, threatened to leave, threatened to leave,” said Ziggler. “Do anything I can do — ‘Give me two damn minutes!’ And I got a minute, whatever, what are you gonna do?”
Since then, Ziggler has been teaming successfully with Robert Roode and Goldberg is nowhere to be seen.
Carolina’s Run On The Main Roster Already Over
If you have not seen RAW the past few weeks, then you missed the debut Carolina. She is a masked superstar who, at the time, was the youngest member on the roster.
During the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about she has already been sent back to the WWE Performance Center. It had nothing to do with her work inside the ring as her storyline was simply over. WWE had Carolina work with Sin Cara as they took on Andrade and Zelina Vega.

There was no backstory between Sin Cara and Carolina, so WWE will likely just not mention her name going forward. But, do a keep an eye out for Carolina on NXT TV.
