Former WWE superstar and Hall of Famer Abdullah the Butcher can stand up on his feet without any help, thanks to WCW legend Diamond Dallas Page.
Abdullah the Butcher, known for his brutal and bloody wrestling style, has had some serious health issues in recent years. The 84-year-old has been in the hospital multiple times for serious medical issues over the last few decades, including a recent intestinal problem. It’s been years since he’s been able to stand up without help following a violent in-ring career.
However, in a video posted on his Facebook page, his caretaker Miss Malika showed some miraculous progress he has made recently. She claimed he could now raise his arms and dress himself. Malika also says his progress, including recovery from a bleeding ulcer, has made her job as his caretaker easier.
“Thanks to Tom, Diamond Dallas Page, and all of my awesome fans and friends for your help and great support! I am Abdullah the Butcher because of you guys! Don’t forget that!” he said in a Facebook video this week.
Diamond Dallas Page has helped multiple wrestling legends improve their help with DDP Yoga
Diamond Dallas Page’s now legendary “DDP Yoga” programs have also helped many other wrestling legends regain mobility and live better. The WCW legend recently stood up from his wheelchair without help after working with the WWE Hall of Famer.
Luger suffered a major spinal injury in 2007 that left him partially paralyzed. He’s made great progress in his mobility through DDP’s customized programs.
Page also was a massive help to both Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Scott Hall. The pair had addiction and health issues following long careers in the ring. Through DDP Yoga they started recovering and got control of their lives and health. Their journeys were documented in the film “The Resurrection of Jake the Snake” which follows their battle with their demons and their redemption.
