Details On Late RAW Changes And Upset WWE Superstars

Vince McMahon has not always be around backstage, but he still plays a role in how WWE is written. Since returning to power earlier in the year, Vince has slowly been making late changes.

A prime example is the past episode of Monday. RAW saw Finn Balor attack Seth Rollins and Tommaso Ciampa returned by defeating The Miz.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall how the opening segment was changed and then provides details on late RAW changes. Originally, the script called for Ciampa to answer Rollins’ open challenge.

They were supposed to get a ton of time, where Ciampa would not lose. The ending would have been a non-finish, so a count out disqualification seems likely.

The report continued how WWE superstars were not happy with Vince McMahon going back to those lates changes. Sapp noted, “I’ve heard of a lot of frustration surrounding this particular move.”

Instead, fans were not treated to an open challenge as Balor got involved in the opening moments of the show. Ciampa returned after a lengthy time away to get a victory over The Miz.

There was talk of DIY reuniting, but Johnny Gargano was not used during RAW. As for Rollins, he will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against The Judgement Day’s Dominik Mysterio.

Both matches did make sense. Rollins and Balor have been feuding since 2016, when “The Demon” was injured after taking a buckle bomb during SummerSlam. And, The Miz was aligned with Ciampa until he went down with an injury.

So, do details on late RAW changes indicate WWE is in the right direction or is Vince McMahon hurting the company?
