One of wrestling’s best shoots, to use the parlance of the industry, of the last several years has been the Vice Network’s celebrated docuseries Dark Side of the Ring. It might even be considered the best thing about pro wrestling in the 2020s, but no matter which is the case, the series shows no signs of slowing its momentum.
Deadline passed along news recently that season six is on the way and will be with us this spring. Amid a story on the expansion of its sports footprint, the report highlighted the return of Vice’s hard-hitting program.

“Vice TV will also air The Verdict and four original series from Vice Studios – Dark Side of the Cage; The Grudge; Sports Gone Wrong; and the highly anticipated sixth season of Vice TV signature franchise Dark Side of the Ring,” the outlet reported.
The show’s official X account also confirmed the announcement. “Season 6. We’re back on March 25,” their post reads.
There is a wide variety of subject matter the show could cover in the upcoming season, but no topics have been officially disclosed. However, Canada’s Slam Wrestling believes they have narrowed them down.
What will be the focus of season 6 of ‘Dark Side of the Ring?’
Based on their intel, Slam deduces the lineup for season six will comprise “Superstar” Billy Graham, Andrew “Test” Martin, Daffney, Ludvig Borga, Eddie Gilbert, Billy Jack Haynes, Vader, and the Hell in the Cell match. “The Solomonster” Jason Solomon heard through the grapevine that an episode on Mick Foley could be in the works too, but this isn’t verified.
It’s possible the information Solomon heard pertained to the HIAC episode. Foley is one legend virtually synonymous with the match because of the 1998 King of the Ring and No Way Out in 2000 when Foley briefly retired after wrestling Triple H for the WWE Title.
Reports of an episode about the life and death of Mike Awesome are also floating around out there. According to Solomon, the episode was in development, or at least pitched, only to be blocked by the ECW star’s ex-wife/widow.
The next season of Dark Side of the Ring premiers on March 25th, 2025. It will be preceded by the MMA-focused spinoff Dark Side of the Cage, which debuts in January.
