Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams are getting tons of praise from WWE. In fact, no matter what happens later, they are going to be pushed big time moving forward.
Carmelo Hayes And Trick Williams Could Get Huge Push Shortly
Later today, the NXT brand will produce The Great American Bash. There are several titles up for grabs and a few gimmick matches are also booked for the card.
In the main event, NXT World Champion Carmelo Hayes will take on Ilja Dragunov. Either could walk away with the gold, with the loser possibly heading to the main roster.
Remember, both have been heavily rumored for a promotion to either RAW or SmackDown.
Gable Steveson Makes His Huge Decision
When it comes to Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams, WWE sees lots of potential in both men.
BWE, which has broke several backstage WWE stories, mentioned how the promotion is keeping a close eye on both men. They continued no matter win or lose at The Great American Bash, the plan is “is to strap’em all to the moon.”
At NXT Stand & Deliver, Hayes defeated Bron Breakker to end his nearly one year reign as champion. Since then, Hayes got the better of Breakker again and continues to defeat everyone in-front of him.
As for Williams, he has been beside Hayes for about two years now. While they debuted as heels, they organically started becoming faces.
Then, once Breakker made a shocking heel turn, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams were promoted as NXT’s top babyfaces.
As for the main roster, Bobby Lashley looks to be forming a new stable. Already, he is trying to convince The Street Profits to work with him. This has caused fan speculation about Hayes and Williams also joining those names.
So, since Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams are treated like top stars in NXT, will that momentum continue once they are part of the main roster?
