Big Cass hasn’t had a great year, but things are looking up as he’s reportedly been cleared to return to action after tearing his ACL in August 2017.

Big Cass was backstage at this week’s Raw taping in Dallas. As reported by PWInsider, he told people backstage that he was cleared to return to the ring.
How Did Big Cass Get Injured?
Cass injured his knee in the midst of his first big singles’ push following his split from longtime tag team partner Enzo Amore. Now that Enzo is completely gone from WWE, it will be interesting to see how Cass fares on his own. After all, even as a singles’ competitor, Cass was defined by his rivalry with Enzo.
Even so, Cass showed a lot of growth and promise before his injury, both in the ring and on the mic. Once he returns, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s able to pull off some great feuds with fellow big men Elias and Braun Strowman. Also, don’t expect Cass to make the jump to SmackDown; he and real-life girlfriend Carmella reportedly called it quits, and WWE likes to keep exes on separate brands as much as they can. Oh, how things have changed from the Attitude Era!
So, will Cass be back in time for WrestleMania? It seems unlikely. Not only would it be difficult and unfair to insert him into any of the ongoing storylines, but there’s no word on a timetable for his return. Furthermore, he told the Sam Roberts Podcast in November that he felt he wouldn’t be ready to return until after WrestleMania.
