Potential AEW Double Or Nothing Spoiler Emerges On Major Return At Sunday’s Event

A new report suggests an AEW fan-favorite could make his long-awaited return to the company this weekend at Double or Nothing.

This weekend, All Elite Wrestling will put on the 2025 edition of Double or Nothing. While the card is filled with interesting matchups, the main event is what will make fans tune in. Because the company is bringing back its Anarchy in the Arena match.

It will feature Kenny Omega, Swerve Strickland, Powerhouse Hobbs, Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata, and Willow Nightingale facing Jon Moxley, the Young Bucks, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Marina Shafir. There is a belief that NJPW star Gabe Kidd will make an appearance after he helped Moxley retain the AEW world title against Joe on Dynamite last week.

His inclusion in the match could also lead to a surprise return of a wrestler who has been sidelined due to injury since November.

“Gabe Kidd showing up could end up being the catalyst for [Eddie Kingston’s return]. It would make sense since Kingston was injured when he was suplexed onto the barricade by Kidd. And his leg was destroyed by the barricade,” Wrestling Observer reporter Dave Meltzer claimed on Friday. “So it’s a natural spot for a return.

“We’ve heard nothing in that direction, as it would be something they’d keep quiet if it were happening. But it does make sense, and unless there was a delay, Kingston’s return should be soon.”

However, Kingston reportedly reached out to Mike Johnson of PW Insider soon after. He claimed he is not in Glendale, Arizona, for the event. And that he is still doing physical therapy, but has been running in the ring recently.
