After reports that WWE would want to talk to AEW star Penta El Zero Miedo if he hits free agency in a few months, it looks like the feeling is mutual.
Even before he became a household name in AEW, Penta El Zero Miedo — formerly Pentagon Jr. — was a star in Mexico for AAA and drew attention on the independent circuit for his work in Lucha Underground and TNA. He is one of the best high flyers in the industry today and has a look that makes him very unique and marketable.

That is why it should not be surprising that a report this week claimed WWE would be interested in his services when he hit free agency. Which is expected to happen in either August or September. However, just because the competition has Penta on their radar doesn’t mean he will actually hit the open market when able to.
Penta El Zero Miedo could bring AEW trademark with him to WWE
Well, it seems that — at the very least — the two sides will have conversations later this year. In a new edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that sources claim Penta is “looking at exploring his options,” when his AEW contract expires in a few months and that he may buy the rights to his ring name so he could potentially take it with him to WWE, or another company.
Hearing offers from companies like WWE, TNA, and NJPW would be a smart move for the veteran luchador. Especially since he has seemingly hit a ceiling in his AEW booking.
In the end, he could still re-sign with his current employer, but the draw of finally competing on the biggest stage in the industry maybe too notable an opportunity to resist.
