A new rumor claims that former AEW TBS champion Willow Nightingale could soon be up for grabs if WWE wanted to bring her into their company.
Over the last year, wrestling fans have seen a bunch of AEW stars look to see if the grass is greener on the other side. All Elite veterans like Ethan Page, Shawn Spears, Penta, Rey Fenix, Aleister Black, and others have made the jump to WWE. Now, Willow Nightingale could be the next to decide if she wants to stay in the company or take her talents elsewhere.
On Friday, Fightful Select reported that the veteran star of the AEW women’s division is closing in on the end of her contract, which allegedly will come in a few months. Unlike some other recent wrestlers that have left the company, Nightingale still remains a consistent part of weekly content for the company.
The former indy star has become a household name during her run in All Elite Wrestling. She has a unique look, natural charisma, and is a talented wrestler. It would be a big surprise if WWE didn’t have some level of interest in the 31-year-old star.
With the NXT’s women’s division, arguably, the best in the industry, Nightingale would be another great addition to that roster if she did indeed make the jump.
