Swerve Strickland And Booker T Escalate Ongoing Beef Following AEW Dynasty

Swerve Strickland has been vocal about the lack of representation of black wrestlers in WWE. It has begun an unexpected feud between him and a particular WWE legend, and things have escalated following AEW Dynasty 2025.

The former Hit Row member called out WWE for not giving equal opportunities to black superstars a couple of weeks ago. This led to a strong response from WWE Hall of Famer Booker T — who was reference by Strickland in his comments — because he disagreed with Strickland.

The former WWE and WCW legend claimed he confronted the AEW star on his comments recently. However, it seems Strickland would not let their issues fade away this past week.

Swerve Strickland wrestled Jon Moxley in the main event of AEW Dynasty over the weekend. After the show went off the air, Strickland grabbed the mic and launched a verbal rant that went viral on X.

“When I talk about representation, I mean it every single f***ing time I speak on it,” he began by saying. “This kid right here that you supported for these last 12, 13 years, in one year, headlined Five Main event pay-per-views. I don’t just speak about representation; I go out there and prove the f***ing thing. And I only make it as far as I have because of you people right here chanting ‘Whose house?’

“Every single city, every single arena, every stadium, whether it’s the United States or if it’s in London, in front of 50 thousand, 80 thousand, I don’t care if it’s 200… I always want to hear y’all chant ‘Who’s house.’ Thank you for being here. Thank you for the merchandise. Get home safely. And one last thing just for my own amusement, f*** Booker T.”

The Hall of Famer took notice of his comments from AEW Dynasty. Responding to Strickland via his “Hall of Fame” podcast.

“Woke up this morning and I wondered, why is my name trending? I see the video of Swerve Strickland saying, ‘F Booker T’ at the end of Dynasty. I’m not gonna even going to get upset about it,” Booker T said. “I’m going to give Swerve Strickland a little bit of advice, just a little bit. That advice would be: don’t be talking about something other than the pay-per-view at the end of the night.

“That’s the main event and the last thing people are going to remember. The last thing people are going to remember is me and my name being said. I’m sure Tony Khan doesn’t appreciate the news. The headline is not what happened at Dynasty with all the matches. They’re talking about Booker T. That was a bad move.”
