Scorpio Sky Claims AEW Management Has Beef With Him, Keeping Him Sidelined Despite Being Healthy

Despite being completely healthy, Scorpio Sky remains on the sidelines and off AEW television. And the former TNT Champion believes it’s because someone in AEW management is holding a grudge against him.

“My career has sure taken a nosedive, hasn’t it?” Sky jokingly said on his Creating Character podcast [h/t Fightful]. “Anyone that has followed me obviously knows that things have been a little different over the past couple of years. “

Sky has not been seen in AEW since September of not 2024, but 2023. There were hype videos created and showcased last year to hype his potential return. But that idea was mysteriously aborted at the last minute. The conversation eventually led to an interview he did last year with Chris Van Vleit. And it seems Sky believes what he said during the chat created a mystery grudge with company management.

“I didn’t lie when I was on the show, but I definitely went out of my way to not make the company look bad,” said Sky. “I wanted to preserve a relationship that has been built over a number of years, and I didn’t want to say anything that would poison that relationship. Come to find out, someone there, still, maybe has a few issues with some of the things I may have said. Now I’m like, ‘Screw it, I’m going to say whatever the hell I want now,'”

“… ‘Do people think I’m not profiled because I suck, I don’t have it anymore, I’m hurt, do they they think there is bad blood?’ The reality is I don’t know what it is,” he explained. “I don’t know if there is bad blood or not. I know I’m healthy, I’ve been healthy for a long time, and I’ve been wanting to compete. It’s just one of those things where, what can you do?” You only have so much say. You have this much [holds fingers close together] say. You do what you can?”

At one point, it seemed like Scorpio Sky would be one of the company’s long-term building blocks. Along with MJF, Darby Allin, and Sammy Guevara. However, the last two years have proven that it is not at all the case. He has stayed active on the independent scene during his time away. But one has to wonder if his latest statement will lead to the release he probably secretly wants.
