Mercedes Mone has been at the top of her game over the last year. Yet, there is a finish line to every career, but it seems the CEO’s is not anytime soon.
The former WWE superstar made her monumental debut in AEW last March. Since then, Mone has proven her dominance in the company. She has won multiple championships and remains undefeated in the Jacksonville-based promotion so far.
During an interview with The Getup Crew this week, Mercedes Mone was asked about still wrestling well into her 40s. The current TBS Champion ruled it out, claiming that she does not want to remain an in-ring competitor by the time she is 44.
Mercedes Mone plans to wrestle for 10 more years

“Oh, 10 years? Hopefully retiring by then. I’m 33—I don’t wanna be doing this when I’m 44,” said Mone.
Mercedes Mone gained prominence as a top-tier WWE superstar when she used the moniker of Sasha Banks. After being in the company for a decade, she walked out in 2022 due to creative differences. However, her career has ascended to unprecedented heights during her stint in AEW so far.
Mone currently holds several major championships. She is the current TBS, NJPW Strong, and Undisputed British Rev Pro Champion. Mercedes Mone is next looking to add the AEW Women’s World Championship to her illustrious resume. She is currently a part of the Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament, where she defeated Julia Hart in the opening round.
The CEO is next set to battle Athena in a dream showdown on an upcoming edition of AEW Dynamite.
