The UFC’s 25th Anniversary event has a new headliner, as Yair Rodriguez, and not Frankie Edgar, will now face Chang Sung Jung.
Recently Dana White confirmed to ESPNÂ that Edgar has dropped out of the November 10th event, and that Rodriguez has agreed to face “The Korean Zombie”. The report cites sources that say Edgar has torn his bicep, but that he will likely not require surgery.
Rodriguez (10-2) has not competed since he was stopped by Edgar in May, 2017.
Jung (14-4), meanwhile, took out Dennis Bermudez in his last fight, which took place in February, 2017.
Thank you all for the well wishes and support, to say I’m disappointed would be an understatement. I train accordingly and was ready for a battle with KZ. Respect to Yair and Zombie that should be a fun scrap. See you all early next year!

So, while it’s unfortunate that Edgar’s been injured, Jung – Rodriguez should deliver some fireworks as well. UFC FN 139 will take place in Denver, Colorado.
