Dan Hooker walked into UFC 305 a decisive underdog.

And walked out with one of the biggest wins of his career.

Hooker earned an upset win over Mateusz Gamrot via split decision Saturday night from the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.

The 34-year-old from New Zealand scored his third consecutive win, improving to 24-12 overall. He had not fought since July 2023 when he bested Jalin Turner via split decision.

“How you like me now?” Hooker said (thanks to MMA Fighting for the quotes). “I don’t think I fought that well but you get in a fight, you get your hand raised, that’s all that counts.

“I’m tougher than old leather. I know I can walk down any man in this world.”

Hooker took a nasty shot that busted his face open early but never stopped pushing forward. Even after being taken down, he still battled through.

A big left-hook by Hooker opened the door for his victory, and a call-out that included Conor McGregor.

“I want them all,” Hooker said. “I want the ‘BMF.’ I want Conor McGregor.

“I want a title-eliminator.”
