Conor McGregor recently confirmed a longstanding suspicion: he and Rick James have a lot in common.
While facing sexual assault allegations in civil court, the former UFC double champ finally admitted to tasting nose candy on the night in question.

“There was a small bag of cocaine present,” Conor McGregor reportedly told the courtroom on Thursday.
The “Notorious” and an associate are being sued for damages stemming from an alleged incident in 2018. The victim, Nikita Hand, claims that McGregor attacked her in a “violent and vicious assault” at a Dublin hotel.
Conor McGregor has denied any wrongdoing and stated any sexual contact was consensual. “These allegations against me are false,” he said. The 36-year-old also told the court that he saw “no sign of distress, fear, or anything other than elation.”
Prosecutors declined to press criminal charges after an investigation. The civil suit was filed afterward in January of 2021.
How Long Has Conor McGregor Been Skiing the Alps?
A pattern of erratic behavior and outbursts has led many to believe that McGregor has been fueled in part by illicit substances. At Bellator 187, the then-UFC lightweight champion stormed the cage and shoved referee Marc Goddard.
Months later, McGregor injured several fighters days before UFC 223 by attacking a bus after crashing a press event. He eventually pled no contest to disorderly conduct.
In 2019, McGregor pled guilty to assault charges for punching an elderly man at a pub. As recently as 2023, he faced multiple allegations of violence, including an alleged sexual assault after an NBA Finals game. No criminal charges were filed in those cases.
