While Robbie Lawler’s UFC career is likely over, the former champion could return to action. But this time, it would be with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
According to BKFC CEO David Feldman, the promotion is working with the UFC to obtain Lawler’s services. If they can reach an agreement, he will square off with Mike Perry.

“We’re working on it with the UFC,” Feldman said during an appearance on the Ariel Helwani Show. “That’s a sick fight. I’ll know in two weeks.”
Feldman noted that there are hurdles to overcome to make the fight happen. If Lawler isn’t able to sign, “it will be someone else.” That list includes Darren Till, he added.
“A lot of people are calling out Mike,” Feldman said. “This is actually the good thing about the Jake Paul fight. Everyone wants to fight him. They were scared to death of him.”
The 42-year-old Lawler retired from MMA after a 2023 win over Niko Price at UFC 290. “Ruthless” earned the knockout in just 38 seconds of work.
He was just 2-5 over his last seven, losing the UFC welterweight title back in 2016 to Tyron Woodley. Lawler won the belt in 2014 and defended it twice vs. Rory MacDonald in a classic and Carlos Condit in another “Fight of the Night” thriller.
