Conor McGregor and his bank account have taken a drastic hit in recent days. One question that leaves floating out there is if it will spark the former UFC champion to return quicker to action or not.
McGregor was found liable in a sexual assault case in his home of Dublin, Ireland last week. Since news broke of the charge, “Notorious” has been dropped by Proper No. 12, the whisky brand he founded in 2018.

“Since 2021, Proximo Spirits has been the 100 percent owner of Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey,” the company told the Irish Independent (thanks to ESPN for the quotes). “Going forward, we do not plan to use Mr. McGregor’s name and likeness in marketing the brand.”
McGregor sold his shares in the Irish whiskey in 2021 but remained on as the face. He has been featured in numerous television advertisements since.
The 35-year-old was found liable by a civil jury in a case in which a female stated McGregor sexually assaulted her in 2018. The High Court in Dublin ordered him to pay around $257,000 to the female. In his words, McGregor stated the sex was consensual and he plans to appeal.
Conor McGregor Taken Out Of Video Game, Hitman
Along with the loss of Proper No. 12, IO Interactive announced it is cutting ties with McGregor. He was set to be a side character in the game, Hitman.
“In light of the recent court ruling regarding Conor McGregor, IO Interactive has made the decision to cease its collaboration with the athlete, effective immediately,” the company posted on social media. “We take this matter very seriously and cannot ignore its implications. Consequently, we will begin removing all content featuring Mr. McGregor from our storefronts starting today.”
