Someone must have decided to take the phone away from Conor McGregor over the weekend. The former UFC champion went on a lengthy social media tirade against PFL during the super fights card that aired live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
Following his series of posts that MMA Fighting caught, the messages went dark from his account. McGregor has done this in the past regarding several issues with his own promotion, the UFC, and several opponents.

“UFC has zero competition in MMA,” McGregor posted. “Bare Knuckle is where it’s at. The future! And the future is now. No room for stalling or escaping collision/impact. It’s sink or swim in bare knuckle. Nowhere to hide. The nastiest, craziest, wildest sport in today’s market.”
McGregor, of course, is now a central part of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships. He has made several appearances at recent events and even made it known that he has plans to compete for BKFC once he does depart from the UFC.
Conor McGregor Had Some Fun On Social Media
It was definitely a weird time to be following “Notorious” during PFL’s first super fights event. He provided commentary on bouts between Johnny Eblen vs. Fabian Edwards and Cris Cyborg vs. Larissa Pacheco. The card featured a heavyweight contest won by former UFC champion Francis Ngannou over Renan Ferreira.
As for McGregor and his long-awaited return to action, he is expected to fight in 2025. He was scheduled to meet Michael Chandler this year, but the bout was called off due to an injury. The last time he fought was in 2021 when he lost to Dustin Poirier.
The last time he got his hand raised came in 2020 with a 40-second finish of Donald Cerrone. Overall, the 36-year-old is 22-6 with 19 knockout wins to his credit.
