Conor McGregor fired back at the UFC on Saturday. Claiming the company is the reason why his long-planned fight with Michael Chandler has been officially canceled.
It has been years since UFC fans saw Conor McGregor inside the Octagon. After back-to-back losses and a serious leg injury, it was understandable that he would need some time to get prepared for his return. However, no one thought it would take this long. Especially after it was announced early last year that he would face Michael Chandler.

However, months flew off the calendar and it wasn’t until early this year that July was finally settled on as the return date for “Notorious.” Unfortunately, a broken pinkie toe made the Irishman pull out of the fight a few weeks before and put the bout back in limbo.
Well, after a year of waiting Chandler finally gave up this week and booked himself a rematch against Charles Oliveira for UFC 309 in November. Most have pointed at McGregor as the reason why a fight has never been made. However, the former two-division champion responded to the news on Saturday while promoting an event for BKFC in Florida. And he claims the UFC are the ones holding everything up.

Conor McGregor says the UFC has completely left him out of the loop about his return
“I’ve been [drug] tested more than twice all these other athletes yet I struggle to get a date. So, I talked to Shiekh Turki [Alalshikh] and said, ‘Sheikh Turki, can you assist me here?'” McGregor said. “As far as Chandler rematching Oliveira, I’m happy with the date. It’s November. Maybe we can still do it.
“I’m just a bit out of the loop. All I can do is carry on what I’m doing. I test. I train delay. Let’s see what happens. Hopefully, it all comes to fruition.”
The MMA legend said he has been the most drug-tested fighter in the company over the last year and was even tested again on Saturday. He also claimed he wants to get a fight between November and February, and reaffirmed he has just two bouts left on his contract.
McGregor also took to X to suggest Chandler was running from a planned fight and for the UFC to “give me my f***ing fight date!”
