Despite facing serious legal consequences, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) is sticking by Conor McGregor. The former UFC champion was found liable in a civil lawsuit after being accused of sexual assault several years back.

President David Feldman explained in an interview with MMA Fighting that the promotion backs McGregor. Several sponsors and business partners have cut ties with “Notorious” since the verdict was announced, including his Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey.

“We don’t want to go into what happened but at the end of the day, we’re with him,” Feldman said. “He’s our partner and we’re going to grow this thing together. He talks, people listen. I don’t condone any bad things that may have happened but what I do support 100 percent is loyalty. You’re with somebody, you’re with somebody and you’re with somebody through good and bad.”

McGregor has been a constant presence since coming on board with BKFC. He became a part owner of the promotion in 2024.

“We’ve been with Conor McGregor the whole time,” Feldman said. “He’s been with us the whole time, and 2025’s going to be an epic year for everybody involved.”

In terms of his legal issues, McGregor plans to fight the verdict. He has stated plans to appeal in the civil case as he plans to also return to action inside the Octagon for the UFC.

McGregor was ordered to pay over $250,000 to a woman who says he raped her. Nikita Hand stated the assault happened in 2018 after a night of partying with McGregor in a Dublin, Ireland hotel penthouse.

During testifying, McGregor said he never forced Hand to do anything “against her will” and that she had “fabricated the allegations” and the sex was consensual between the two.
