UFC St. Petersburg will feature the Octagon debuts of several prospects, including heralded striker, Rafael Fiziev.
Fiziev will battle lightweight Magomed Mustafaev on Saturday, and he will do so, after going 6-0 to begin his pro-MMA career (all six wins by finish). But, the Kyrgyzstan born fighter transitioned into MMA after competing in a ton of amateur and pro-Muay Thai fights, and after winning multiple championships in the sport. Not only that, but Fiziev is a kickboxing coach for Tiger Muay Thai in Thailand.
As a result, Fiziev arrives in the UFC with plenty of hype tied to him in prospect monitoring circles.
You can watch the 26-year-old in action below.
Mustafaev (13-2), meanwhile, is competing for the first time since he was choked out by Kevin Lee in 2016.
