Marlon Moraes avenged his 2017, split decision loss to Raphael Assuncao tonight, and he did so in very impressive fashion.
Midway through the opening round, Moraes rocked Assuncao with a booming punch and then sent him to the deck with another one. Assuncao started working his guard game to recover, but eventually, Moraes rolled into a guillotine choke that ended the fight.
With the win, Moraes makes a very, very compelling case for a title fight with bantamweight champ, T.J. Dillashaw.
