Despite being declared the winner, Dustin Poirier heard nothing but boos after UFC 264 Saturday night.
And “The Diamond” was quite alright with it.
Poirier scored his second victory in seven months over Conor McGregor in the main event. The bout was stopped after the first round as McGregor suffered a broken ankle.
Through the first five minutes, Poirier was in control, leading the fight.
As he conducted his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, Poirier heard nothing but booing from the Las Vegas crowd.
“That guy is a dirt bag,” Poirier said. “Everybody booing, you can kiss my whole (expletive).”
The win was the seventh over his last eight fights for Poirier, with the lone loss coming to Khabib Nurmagomedov.
