Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje haven’t traded too many verbal shots leading up to UFC 254, but the lightweight stars still had a respectful, but intense face off today for cameras.
Nurmagomedov and Gaethje face off one more time
The champions are set to throw down in the main event of Saturday’s card, which is taking place on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
Leading up to the fight, both men have acknowledged that the other is a talented fighter, and there hasn’t been much tension, in terms of a rivalry. But, whenever the two have been face-to-face, their intensity and competitive drive has been on full display.

Nurmagomedov (28-0) will be fighting for the first time since September, 2019, when he submitted Dustin Poirier. Gaethje (22-2) locked up a fight with Khabib this past May, by stopping Tony Ferguson to win the interim belt.
In the co-main event, former middleweight champ Robert Whittaker will battle the hard-hitting, Jared Cannonier. That’s another bout that has ‘can’t miss’ all over it.
