Conor McGregor seems pretty engaged these days in the world of MMA, and the Irish superstar had a busy night with social media during UFC 234.
McGregor clearly didn’t care for Kelvin Gastelum’s decision to walk around with a championship belt (it turns out it was Henry Cejudo’s, who was in attendance). Gastelum was supposed to fight champion Robert Whittaker, but the latter had to withdraw due to a hernia and emergency surgery.
Well, McGregor shared out the post below, apparently referencing some marks he noticed on Gastelum’s face. The middleweight contender, as you’ll see, had a fiery response.
Why is that worm holding the 185lb belt? There are worms crawling on his skin! It was absolutely ludicrous to even consider allowing him to compete. Let alone now walk around the arena shaking our fans hands.
Someone sort this, this instant. And sterilize that belt.

Come take it off….
Little prick! https://t.co/823ptmymr8— #OnAmission4Gold (@KelvinGastelum) 10 February 2019
After the card’s main event, which saw Anderson Silva lose to fellow all-star striker Israel Adesanya via decision, McGregor posted this:
Anderson is one crafty, crafty Martial Artist.
You only develop these methods through years of hard fought experience.
Phenomenal performance.
The crafty veteran. Big respect always.
It would be an honor!— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) 10 February 2019
During the post-fight presser, Silva floated the idea of fighting Nick Diaz in Curitiba, Brazil. That also drew McGregor’s interest, who proposed a rubber match with Nate Diaz on the same card.
Book it. I’ll fight Nate on it. https://t.co/ewh4aQ4E7A

So, between all this, and McGregor’s previous exchanges with Donald Cerrone, it seems pretty clear the former featherweight and lightweight champ is keen to fight.
