Alexander Gustafsson is going to face Jon Jones for a second time on December 29th, and not only does “The Mauler” say he’s going to hand “Bones” his first legit loss, he’s predicting he’ll KO the former champ.
Recently the UFC announced that the two will battle for the soon to be vacated, 205 title, at UFC 232. Since then, Gustafsson spoke with MMA NYTT, and the Swedish light-heavyweight made this call for the upcoming bout:
“I’ll knock him out in the fourth,” Gustafsson said.
“Jon Jones’ head will bounce off the canvas in the fourth round.”
“I don’t have the same respect for Jones as I did five years ago.”
Considering the abilities of Jones, and the fact his only loss was via disqualification, that’s a pretty bold prediction no?
Jones and Gustafsson fought back in 2013, and the latter lost the thrilling, competitive bout via unanimous decision.
UFC 232 will be hosted by the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
