Since winning his season of TUF, Kamaru Usman has transformed into the rarest beast of all: The TUF winner who doesn’t suck. Going into the TUF 28 Finale last night, he was 8-0, and he faced his toughest test yet in the form of former lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos.
Holy crap did Usman beat RDA up.

For five rounds, the former champ was slinging heat and going for things like kimuras and whatnot – you know, all of Dos Anjos’ usual slickness. But Usman, as he’s wont to do, shut him down. By the final round, Usman was just punching him to pieces.

Maybe the fact that RDA is getting old played a factor. Size definitely influenced things. But all those things aside, Usman was Mr. Smash, and RDA was his hapless victim.

Afterwards, Dana White made noise like Usman could face champ Tyron Woodley, despite Colby Covington allegedly being next in line. I don’t know, I like Usman’s chances.
He’s definitely a badass.
