Trouble between Gervonta Davis and Floyd Mayweather hit social media hard on Thursday.
The unbeaten Davis let it be known that he isn’t happy with Mayweather and Al Haymon, the advisor for the former champion.
Davis, just 23 years old, lost his title on the scales last year but rebounded with a victory over Jesus Marcelo Andres Cuellar last April, claiming the WBA super featherweight title in the process. He is expected to meet Abner Mares next.
“I came to Vegas to start camp and Floyd didn’t want my coach out here becuz he wanted to train me,” Davis posted. “Bought Pitts and everything…talking bout I don’t need my trainers…the one who got me where I’m at and quick to call AL and tell him I’m not listening and I’m not reliable!”
