It remains to be seen when and who Khabib Nurmagomedov fights again, but 50 Cent, yes, 50 Cent, is hoping to bring the UFC’s lightweight champ to Bellator.
Since Nurmagomedov’s submission win over Conor McGregor last weekend, and yes, the highly publicized brawl, there’s been no shortage of talk about what’s going to happen to “The Eagle”. Most recently, Nurmagomedov informed the UFC that if the promotion cuts his teammate Zubaira Tukhugov, due to last Saturday’s incident, then he’s walking from the company.
So where does 50 Cent fit in? Well, recently the rapper posted the comments below:
The rapper’s comments come not long after Bellator announced it has signed a licensing deal with 50 Cent for his apparel line and champagne. The parties also announced that 50 Cent is going to give the winner of Bellator’s welterweight grand-prix, $1 million dollars.
Now, it should be noted here that the UFC is not holding Khabib’s purse from UFC 229; the Nevada Commission has been. Further, UFC President Dana White said that Khabib will not be stripped of the lightweight belt. But there is that potential issue with Tukhugov, as White did say that the latter would be cut, if evidence came forward indicating he attacked McGregor.
Tukhugov was / is supposed to fight Conor’s teammate, Artem Lobov at UFC FN 138 on October 27th.
