If you like your fights with plenty of vicious kicks, then you’ll be happy to hear that the UFC is reportedly working on booking a fight between Edson Barboza and Justin Gaethje.
Recently MMA journalist Farah Hannoun reported that the UFC is trying to add Barboza – Gaethje to the promotion’s March schedule, and MMA Junkie’s Steven Marrocco is also reporting the bout is in the works.
No date has been set, but according to the latter report, the fight could be added to the UFC’s March 23rd card or the event the week after.
This news comes not long after Gaethje repeated his interest in fighting Al Iaquinta, or throwing down with Barboza.
Gaethje (19-2) is coming off a vicious, KO win over James Vick in August, while Barboza (20-6) stopped Dan Hooker last month at UFC on FOX 31.
Here’s hoping this bout gets finalized soon, as it’s a lightweight fight of the must-see variety.
