All Patricio Pitbull wants for Christmas is the opportunity to fight. And if PFL MMA isn’t going to grant that for the Bellator champion, he’ll go to the UFC.
The only problem with that wish by Pitbull is the fact that he is currently under contract with PFL. But being sidelined for as long as he has been, the veteran decided to take to social media and make his request known.

The lack of transparency, events and answers from PFL MMA bout its future and Bellator MMA’s is making both promotions look bad,” Pitbull wrote on social media. “What do you all think about what’s going on? Christmas is coming up and I’d love to receive my release by then.”
The 37-year-old from Brazil last fought in March, defending his featherweight title. Pitbull picked up his 36th career victory with a third-round TKO of Jeremy Kennedy.
With the win, he snapped a two-fight losing skid. But this year will be the first time since 2020 that he has fought just once.
A three-time tournament winner at Bellator, Pitbull has held the title four times in two weight classes. He owns records for most featherweight wins, victories in title fights, title fights and finishes in Bellator history.
Pitbull is not the first to come out and complain about the lack of events put on since the purchase of the company by PFL MMA. Others such as Patchy Mix and Corey Anderson have voiced the same complaints.
