PFL Signs Unbeaten Russian Fighter To Contract

PFL

Murad Ramzanov is headed to the PFL, as the unbeaten Russian has signed a multi-fight contract with the promotion.

Ramzanov, who trains alongside the likes of Islam Makhachev and Usman Nurmagomedov, comes from Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Numragomedov MMA School.

He is expected to make his PFL debut in the first half of the year.

“I’m looking forward to continuing my career in the PFL,” Ramzanov said. “There is no one in my division from now on.”

With a perfect record of 11-0 that included one no-contest, Ramzanov owns seven finishes. Included in that is four knockouts with a decision win over former champion Zebaztian Kadestam on his resume.

The 28-year-old was born in Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia and turned pro in 2014. He was 5-0 as an amateur before joining such promotions as ONE Championship.

Competing welterweight in 2020, he finished Bae Myung Ho in his ONE debut. Back-to-back decisions followed before a no-contest with Roberto Soldic in late 2022.

A planned 2022 meeting with former ONE middleweight champion Ken Hasegawa was scrapped after Hasegawa became injured.

That was the last appearance for Ramazanov, who has fought at lightweight, featherweight and middleweight before.

As an amateur, he captured the World Mixed Martial Arts Association lightweight championship. He also won the 2015 Obinsk Cup Lightweight Tournament and the 2016 Union of MMA Russia lightweight title while competing for Union of Mixed Martial Arts of Russia.
