Arjan Bhullar scored the biggest win of his career, finishing Brandon Vera to become the ONE heavyweight champion.
Bhullar bested Vera in the main event of ONE: Dangal from the Singapore Indoor Stadium. He became the first-ever Indian MMA champion in history.
In the second round, Bhullar capitalized on his feints by catching “The Truth” with an overhand right that sent him reeling toward the Circle Wall. A few more right hands compounded the damage, and a debilitating body shot had Vera gasping for air.
Once “Singh” was able to close the distance and latch onto the defending champion with a body lock, it signalled the beginning of the end. Bhullar brought Vera to the mat and pounded him out for the technical knockout victory.
In the co-main event, Tawanchai PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym bested Sean Clancy when he finished him in the third round of their Muay Thai bantamweight bout.
Other winners included Bi Nguyen, who topped Ritu Phogat, Ayaka Miura and Gurdarshan Mangat.
