Michael Page Still Undecided On Fighting Future

Michael Page

Michael Page, a former Bellator title contender, currently remains a free agent as the MMA landscape shifts to UFC and PFL. With Bellator recently being purchased by PFL, Page is examining all of his options before deciding where he will go next.

For Michael Page, now is a perfect time to be a free agent.

Page, a longtime Bellator standout and title contender, remains without a fighting home as he sits and looks through the offers.

“I wish I could say for certain that we have or we haven’t,” Page said during an interview with The MMA Fan Show (thanks to MMA Fighting for the quotes). “Honestly speaking, we’re not there yet. There’s still a few hurdles we need to jump over, but like I said, we’re flirting.”

Michael Page Interesting In UFC, PFL

As far as Page is concerned, wherever he goes, that welterweight division is getting a contender.

“It’s difficult to say because I think there’s dream fights and a lot of those dream fights land in the UFC,” Page said. “How I feel now to how I felt when I first joined MMA. Over time, things have changed.

“It’s a lot more than just a name of the brand, there’s a lot more to it now.”

I think PFL by itself is definitely an interesting location to go to especially with their development. I can kind of see their progression.”

Page did rule out returning to Bellator, saying it would “feel like a backstep.”

The 36-year-old from London, England scored a TKO victory over Goiti Yamauchi this past March. He is 21-2 overall with 16 finishes and holds wins over Douglas Lima, Paul Daley and Derek Anderson.

Page also took a bout with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship in August, losing a majority decision to former UFC fighter Mike Perry. The first five rounds of that bout wen to a split draw.
