Michael Chandler To Conor McGregor: ‘Buckle Up Boys, Girls’

Michael Chandler heard the report from Conor McGregor that they are on for International Fight Week.

Now, the former Bellator champion is moving forward with preparing himself to take on the ex-UFC two-division titleholder.

“Patience that produced impending pandemonium,” Chandler posted on social media. “Buckle up boys and girls. Walk on. See you at the top!”

McGregor noted that he will be ready to face Chandler on June 29 in Las Vegas when the UFC celebrates International Fight Week. The meeting between former Ultimate Fighter coaches has long been delayed for a number of reasons.

Both are coming off losses to Dustin Poirier, as Chandler fell to “The Diamond” in 2022. McGregor, meanwhile suffered a broken leg in a 2021 loss.

Since that time, the promotion placed them together on TUF and has been working to get them inside the Octagon to face one another.

The bout is expected to take place at middleweight.
