Mexican social media sensation Luis “Pride” Escudero is signing with the top Latino-geared MMA promotion in the world, Combate Global.
Escudero will make his promotional debut on the company’s May 18 card on Fuse TV, and he is set to square off with fellow prospect Carlos Cordoba. Escudero vs. Cordoba will be a featured featherweight bout on the card that will take place in Miami.

One of the notable Mexican prospects in the sport, Escudero has amassed an incredible following on TikTok and currently has over 6.8 million subscribers across all of his social media pages. Back in August, he scored a highlight-reel finish over Juan Campos at Ultimate Warrior Challenge 47. The submission came in just over one minute, as he improved to 3-2 with the win.
Escudero’s recent flying armbar finish came on the heels of a 2022 knockout of Hugo Rubio. He also scored a submission that year over Manuel Reyna after making his pro debut.
Carlos Cordoba has fought twice before for Combate Global. Suffering a pair of 2022 losses to Carlos Calderon and Moses Diaz.
The May 18 card will also include a main event featuring Patrick Lehane taking on Ivan Castillo. Lehane owns a 7-2 record while Castillo has won 24 fights over his extended career.
The 24-year-old Lehane has positioned himself as one of Combate Global’s premier athletes. He made his debut in 2021, scoring back-to-back upsets during a one-night European tournament.

Combate Global returns this Saturday with Alejandra Lara taking on Gisela Luna in a women’s flyweight main event. Mauricio Rios will also put his unbeaten record on the line vs. Tony Cortez, while Jimmie Pace Jr. meets Jaden Ortega in two other announced fights.
