It looks like moves are being made behind the scenes of the UFC’s welterweight division, as Kamaru Usman has posted an image of an apparent bout agreement to fight Tyron Woodley.
Recently the welterweight champ Woodley has said he intends to fight Colby Covington next, who has also been driving hard for that fight. But, following Usman’s impressive win over Rafael dos Anjos last month, Dana White said the surging welterweight could be next for a title shot.
Well, more recently, Usman tweeted out the image and comments below:
Hope the hand is ready champ @TWooodley the @ufc bout agreement has been signed and I’ll see you soon #AndNew #NigerianNightmare #GoTime @AliAbdelaziz00 @danawhite @seanshelby @Mickmaynard2

Now, as this is being written, nothing has been announced. Further, just because Usman has been sent a bout agreement to fight Woodley, doesn’t necessarily mean that’s the next title fight at 170.
