From the sidelines, Jon Jones sure had a lot to say after UFC 267.
The event featured Glover Teixeira submitting Jan Blachowicz to become the new UFC light heavyweight champion.
Jones, of course, is regarded by many to be the greatest light heavyweight in UFC history. So, while “Bones” continues to put his life together, he went after Blachowicz.
Of course, we have to remember that it was Blachowicz who has had plenty to say about Jones. Both in regards to his troubled personal life and decision to leave 205 pounds for heavyweight.
“See what happens when you’re talking shit, not focusing on the opponent right in front of you,” Jones posted on social media. “Another one bites the dust.”

Jones continued, pleading with fighters to make successful title defenses before questioning him.
“New rule, don’t call me out until you defend your belt at least twice,” he said. “I’m getting sick of this shit. Everybody talking about what they’re going to do, can’t even beat the other contenders.”

He did have some positive words for Teixeira, saying “Yo 42 years old, that’s wild. How inspiring.”
Blachowicz was quick to try and push Jones out the door after he signaled his decision to leave light heavyweight. He was looking to make a long and extended run as champion.
However, the veteran Teixeira changed all that. Teixeira, a former challenger of Jones, scored a submission and won the title.
As for this own future, Jones indicated that he is still waiting for the right time and right opponent.
“Been sharpening my sword waiting for a worthy opponent,” he said. “Just make sure you rent the pay-per-view when the time comes.”
