Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier don’t officially have a date for a second fight yet, but it seems pretty clear that the rivals are scrapping in the near future.
After Cormier defended the lightweight crown last month by submitting Anthony Johnson at UFC 210, there was a lot of speculation as to whether he’d fight Jones next. Dana White said that Jones could fight Cormier at UFC 214 on July 29th if he’s ready, but Jimi Manuwa was also campaigning hard for a title shot. Then more recently, it was reported that the promotion is in fact targeting UFC 214 for Cormier – Jones II, but nothing’s been announced.
Well, based off a recent exchange Cormier and Jones had on Twitter, it certainly sounds like the two will be throwing down fairly soon.

Cormier and Jones fought for the first time in 2015, and “Bones” defended the 205 title via unanimous decision. Jones will be eligible to return from his one year suspension in early July. The former champ hasn’t fought since last April, when he earned a UD win over Ovince Saint Preux.
