Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira have a date, and it will be at UFC 281 in November.
Adesanya will defend his middleweight title against Pereira on November 12. The event is set for Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The 33-year-old Adesanya is coming off a decision victory over Jared Cannonier at UFC 276. It marked his fifth successful title defense and third consecutive win.
Only a decision loss to Jan Blachowicz for the UFC light heavyweight title in 2021 stains the MMA record of Adesanya.
As for his kickboxing mark, that has a pair of losses to Pereira on it. In 2017, he was knocked out in the third round and in 2016 he lost via decision.
Pereira improved to 6-1 with a first round knockout of Sean Strickland on the same UFC 276 card in July. He has won his last six MMA fights, including three straight in the UFC.
