Chris Weidman will give it one more go inside the Octagon.
According to a report by Laerte Viana, the former UFC middleweight champion will square off with Bruno Silva on March 30.
That event is targeted for Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall.
Weidman, who suffered a serious leg injury last August during a loss to Brad Tavares, has fought just twice since 2021. That year, he suffered another leg injury in a loss to Uriah Hall.
Overall, the fighter who bested Anderson Silva for the belt, sits at just 15-7. Weidman, who is now 39 years old, is 1-4 over his last five and 2-7 since 2015.
Silva is also looking to get on track, as the 34-year-old from Brazil is 23-10 overall and 1-4 over his last five. He bested Brad Tavares, who Weidman suffered the most recent injury again, and did earn two quick finishes among his first three UFC bouts.
